CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) -

Today was an absolutely gorgeous day across the state with temperatures reaching into the upper 50s and low 60s in a few spots. A cold front will come through the state from the north later this evening. This system will bring some moisture along with it but it will not be anything significant. Depending on the temperatures some areas will see rain while others see now. The moisture will start in the northern part of the state tonight into tomorrow and slowly push south.

Casper only has a very slight chance for moisture tomorrow afternoon otherwise expect decreasing throughout the day. The moisture will arrive a bit later for the southern part of the state. Cheyenne will start to see it Friday around noon into the afternoon hours. Cheyenne will mainly see rain as temperatures will increase to the low 50s. Don’t be afraid if you hear a few rumbles of thunder as instability in the atmosphere will be unstable allowing for a thunderstorm or two along the I-80 corridor. As temperatures warm up Friday midday snow showers will turn into rain showers for the southern part of the state. The northern part of the state will be decreasing in temperatures just by a few degrees tomorrow but the southern part of the state will remain steady in the low 50s.

By the weekend temperatures will rebound into the upper 50s and 60s on Saturday, and Sunday is even better with temperatures soaring into the upper 60s and 70s! It will be a beautiful weekend so make sure to enjoy the warmth and sunshine!
