CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - “Right now, what you need to be thinking about is fertilizing your plants.”

It’s time to get your favorite annuals and perennials in the soil. But, many people are preparing their gardens for a late season winter like storm.

Wyomingites find Preparing your garden soil for planting vegetables is vital to growing a productive garden that will put food on your table.

“Anything above ground you certainly want to protect them with a covering of some kind. Underground crops you could probably do between the 1st and 15th of May.”

“We’ll try to get by the worst of the weather at this point. Even Though we’ll warm the green house so they don’t freeze, there’s still always the chance that when you buy them and put them out they can still freeze, Eldon Stellpflug said.”
