Three Cheyenne natives a part of “Showdown at the Well” Tournament championship team
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Alyvia Hardy, Bailey Earley, and Taryn Potts are Cheyenne natives.
Starting about a year ago, the three joined the Colorado Power 14U softball team.
Despite being from a different city and state than the rest of the girls on the squad, they fit right in.
“I think, to me, it feels normal because the girls on that team were really excepting, they didn’t care that we were from somewhere else,” said Alyvia Hardy. “They just acted as if we were from there. So I feel like it was just kind of a great team to be on.”
Maybe the closeness is why the team is performing so well.
The Power just won the “Showdown at the Well”, which is a softball tournament in Wellington, CO.
The team went (5-0) and Hardy attributes the success to the great attitude her and her teammates has all tournament long.
“We never got down on ourselves, even when we were behind in the count and when the other team was winning, we still didn’t give up and so everybody else was very hyper and awake,” said Hardy.
