Second Round of Snow Starts Now Until Friday

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) -

The second round of snow showers are firing up across the state with some areas experience heavy snow bands. I-80 has been closed from Rock Springs to Laramie. Winter Weather Advisories are in effect until Friday at 6pm including Cheyenne, Casper, Rawlins, Gillette, Wheatland, Torrington, and Scottsbluff. Winter Storm Warnings are in effect for Riverton and Lander until Thursday at 6pm. Winter Storm Warnings are in effect for the summit in Albany/Laramie Counties and the Snowy Mountains and Sierra Madre until Friday at 6pm.

Snow showers will continue in the region tonight through Friday. Cheyenne can expect 6-8 inches while Casper will see 2-4 inches. Lander will see the most snow up to a foot plus! Make sure to check roadways before heading out the door with slick roads possible for the next several days because travel impacts will be moderate to high at times.
