CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Wyoming State parks are preparing to re-open their facilities this year as summer quickly approaches.

The Wyoming Department of State Parks will begin taking reservations for camping sites starting May 1st. Based on a “first-come, first-serve” basis, Wyomingites should plan on making reservations early since last year was extremely busy with outdoor-lovers escaping to the wilderness to avoid quarantine confinement. Out of state visitors can also register and can enjoy day passes as well.

The parks are open for camping, fishing, mountain biking, hiking and archery in designated areas.

Visitors can check out the Wyoming Department State Park website at for more information and make reservations.
