Spring Time in the Rockies means Snow Showers

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) -

The radar is active once again this evening bringing snow showers to the mountainous regions across the state including western Fremont County, western Sheridan County and the Laramie Range. A Winter Storm Watches is in effect for the Sierra Madre and the Snowy Mountains until Friday at 6am. This will likely be upgraded to a storm warning in the coming days. Stay weather aware this week as more watches, warnings, and advisories are possible to come out due to more snowfall on the way.

Snow showers are possible every day this week with chances ramping up Tuesday evening and especially Wednesday evening and into Thursday. Right now Cheyenne snowfall forecast is 4-6 inches while Casper will see 2-3 inches. Lander will see the most snowfall, 8-12inches, other than the regions under a Winter Storm Watch. Travel impacts will be elevated Tuesday evening through Thursday as this will be when the most snow will fall. Temperatures will range from the mid 30s to the low 40s for the rest of this week before a warm at the beginning of next week!
