CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) -

Temperatures were allowed to warm up today before the cold front came through with temperatures in the 50s and 60s. A Fire Weather Warning is in effect for parts of the panhandle until tonight at 7pm due to the dry weather, low humidity, gusty winds, and warm temperatures. Ahead of the cold front a few places are under a Winter Weather Advisory such as Sheridan, Crook, and Weston Counties until tomorrow at noon. These counties will see a range of 2-4 inches of snowfall with winds as high as 40mph. The cold front is sweeping through northwest Wyoming this evening with rain and snow showers firing up. Winds have been steady with sustain winds between 20-30 with gusts as high as 50mph this afternoon. Unfortunately the windy conditions will kick up tomorrow morning for the eastern half of the state before widespread gusty winds set it for the state. The moisture will continue to move south and east this evening into late tonight early tomorrow morning. Most places will only be seeing a dusting up to an inch. Casper could see upwards of two inches.

By Saturday temperatures will rebound into the upper 50s and 60s with windy conditions especially in the northwestern part of the state. Sunday temperatures will fall once more and remain in between 30F-40F with another system possible mid of next week to bring more snow!
