FREMONT COUNTY, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) -

A charitable motorcycle organization that dedicates their time to serve others has one fundraiser a year, and last year it had to be canceled. The nonprofit is looking forward to gathering again for the annual bowling event on Saturday.

CMA Riverton chapter, Wyoming Spirit Riders secretary Debbie Anderson stated, “Being in this ministry we meet so many people and we get to actually minister to them, tell them about Jesus. Just to see the effect it has on their lives, and sometimes we don’t always see that, but we do see some of it and it’s like ‘Wow.’ Your heart just swells up and that’s why CMA is here, to save one heart at a time.”

The Christian Motorcycle Association is international, operating in 38 countries, with over 1,300 chapters in the United States. There are 10 chapters in Wyoming, including Riverton, Cheyenne, and Casper.

They focus on service and giving back, partnering with organizations like the VFW, Patriot Guard Riders, Volunteers of America, and nursing homes among others.

Since they serve in all 50 states, they have phone numbers of each chapter on their site, to be reached at any time, if you find yourself in a vehicle accident or are just in need of help, they are happy to lend a helping hand. The Wyoming Spirit Riders, Riverton chapter would like everyone to know that if they are having an event and have a volunteer opportunity, to get ahold of them and see if they can help. They offer celebrations of life for someone who has passed away as well.

Andy Anderson, President of CMA Wyoming Spirit Riders chapter explained his hope for the event on Saturday: “Letting the world see what CMA does as a whole, bringing the world back together in unity and sharing with what they have to deal with in life, giving them an opportunity to see what ministry in the streets is like. We’re here for them. To see it grow and glow through the world is what we do. As my wife said, saving one heart at a time.”

The fund raiser is this Saturday at the Silver Spur Lanes in lander at 6 p.m. There will be many giveaways and a silent auction including a motorized scooter. $20 covers your bowling and shoe rentals. Pre-registering is preferred, but not required.
