CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) -

A cold front is draped over the state which will cool the temperatures down and bring rain showers to the region. Rain showers have already state in parts of the state moving northeastward. Once the temperatures drop the rain will transition into a wintry mix then to snow showers in some parts of the state. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for the higher elevations in the northern part of the state until Tuesday at 3PM. These locations will see accumulations from 4-6 inches. A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for Crook and Weston Counties until Wednesday at 12AM. Areas under the warning will see 6 inches of snow.

The moisture will remain in the state tonight and into tomorrow. Scattered showers are possible statewide with only about a tenth of water accumulations for most of the state. Temperatures will definitely be cooler tomorrow with temperatures only topping out in the 40s. After Tuesday temperatures will start to warm up for the rest of the week. Unfortunately temperatures will not be as warm as they were over Easter weekend.
