ReFabb for less helping community members with spring remodel
CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - The warm weather is could inspire Casper community members to fix up parts of their home. ReFabb for less is a thrift store for home improvement items that can help.
This store is a branch from the Casper Housing Authority tree. When people buy donated items from the store, the money goes back into the community. “The nonprofit side runs the daycare and more. We do different fundraisers and events throughout the community,’ said Nichole McNamara, the store manager.
Casper Housing Authority saw a need for this when Habitat for Humanity shut down. “It’s basically a thrift store for building supplies. It’s for those two are just starting out and might not be able to pay the prices at the regular stores,” said Lori Burns, the Casper Housing Authority Director of Cares.
McNamara says they have building materials, furniture and appliances. They also see a lot of donations around this time. “A lot of people like to use tax season to update new furniture so they can bring us their old stuff,” McNamara said.
ReFabb for Less has been in the Casper community for about six months. They are located in the Old Roosevelt High School gym. They are open Tuesday through Saturday. Donation days and times are Tuesday and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday is noon to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
