CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Last year’s Central Wyoming Fair and PRCA Rodeo Parade was cancelled, so this year’s parade is slated to be a big affair. Recently, the CWFR announced its grand marshal for the parade.

Natrona County Commissioner and Visit Casper CEO Brook Kaufman will be the grand marshal.

“We just kinda toss out some names of people in the community that we think represent Casper Natrona County in a really great way, and Brook’s name was one of those that got brought up,” said CWFR Marketing Director Angela Berry. “Not only is she the CEO of Visit Casper but also one of our county commissioners, and she just really is all about Casper.”

Berry said Kaufman was one of a few candidates, but she was agreed upon almost instantly after being brought up.

“She’s just the perfect fit. She really wants to make sure our Western heritage continues on here in Casper, and that’s what the Central Wyoming Fair and Rodeo is all about,” said Berry.

The parade will start the morning of July 13 at David Street Station.
