CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - The Wyoming Senate Judiciary Committee unanimously passed a bill looking at who can carry a concealed firearm.
The bill’s sponsor, Representative Robert Wharf (HD49) spoke to Wyoming News Now about the bill. Representative Wharf said, “It’s really a simple bill. it extends the right to carry. I believe the constitution is clear. I don’t want to restrict that right. It’s already restricted through certain laws.”
Byron Oedekoven, the Executive Director for the Wyoming Association of Sheriffs and Chiefs of Police, said he supports the Second Amendment, but wanted to address some of the issues he saw with the bill as it was written.
