Pleasant yet breezy weather heading into Palm Sunday
Palm Sunday will be Sunny & Warmer
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Temperatures improved Saturday as we kicked off the weekend with plenty of sunshine! However, those Wyoming winds kept things slightly chilly throughout the day.
Fire Weather Warning’s are in effect for- Campbell, Crook & Weston Counties through the rest of the weekend, in addition, there is also an elevated risk for the North East areas of Wyoming on Sunday. The Fire Weather Warning’s are a result of warmer drier conditions that will be sticking around Wyoming for the next few days. In addition, winds increased today and look to be stronger throughout Palm Sunday.
High Wind Warning’s are in effect for Albany, Converse, Carbon, Laramie, Plate; with High Wind Watches in effect for much of Central Wyoming, notables, Fremont, Natrona & Sweetwater counties.
A High-Pressure system is settling into Wyoming bringing drier conditions and promoting plenty of sunshine in the state throughout Sunday. As an upper-level trough will influence stronger wind patterns around the state.
The good news is, if you enjoyed Saturday, you are going to LOVE Sunday. Temperatures look to rise into the mid to upper 50s with the North hitting 60s. Warmer air will be the headline for tomorrow as the sun will shine down upon Wyoming throughout Sunday. Winds will be the one problem tomorrow as along I-25 between Wheatland & Chugwater, wind gusts are expecting to hit in the 50s forceful winds could be damaging at times. Much of SE Wyoming look to hit around 30+ MPH and hit over to the Fremont County area as well.
