CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - The Ford Wyoming Center was granted a variance by the state and Casper-Natrona County Health Departments to allow 100% capacity at events on May 1.

This will allow larger crowds at events like graduation and the College National Finals Rodeo.

“We just felt that it was really important that they understood for us to be able to advertise now that we needed to have that hundred percent capacity variance for our May and June events,” said Ford Wyoming Center General Manager Brad Murphy.

Events before May 1, like the Justin Moore and Tracy Lawrence concert on April 8, will still have limited capacity.

Murphy said 100% capacity will help impact Casper’s local economy.

“When you have teams, artists and production crews staying overnight, and people from outside are coming to see those shows, that’s really huge to our economy,” said Murphy. “Our retailers, hotels and restaurants. That’s what I think is most important is that we are starting to drive that economic engine again.”
