After reaching 100 adoptions already, Black Dog Animal Rescue excited for what 2021 has in store
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - On Mar. 5, Black Dog Animal Rescue announced a cat named “Lip” was its 100th adoption in 2021.
“At this point last year we hadn’t even hit 100 adoptions yet, so we’re excited about what this new year and the next phase after the post-pandemic life is coming on and we feel really positive about it,” said BDAR Marketing and Development Manager, Kaitlin Whitman.
Whitman said in 2020, adoption numbers were lower due to the beginning of the pandemic. In 2021, they are close to where they were in 2019 which was a record year of around 570 adoptions.
Another positive for BDAR is they are not seeing many people having to bring the pets back after adopting them. The organization takes pride in its adoption process, which focuses on finding the best fit for their animals and for the community.
“For us at Black Dog Animal Rescue, we’re always really excited when our pets find their forever homes.”
