CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Baseball season is coming in like a high heater. Casper Youth Baseball Little League is planning a return to action this summer.

The season will start in early May and run through the middle of July.

The league is in need of coaches with the goal to have two to three coaches per team.

Casper Youth Baseball President Victoria Brown said, “Kids can’t play without coaches.” She also mentioned that coaching can be a great way to get involved with kids in the community.

“When you start a season with the kids, they may not have any knowledge whatsoever of baseball, or they may have a little bit, but by the time the season ends, you see the progression of the kids and what they’ve learned and how it applies on the field, and it’s just really satisfactory.”

Brown said Casper Youth Baseball also needs umpires.
