CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) -

Good news, temperatures are going to continue to increase as we head into the back half of this week! The bad news in the temperatures are going to plummet tonight into the low teens with wind chills in the single digits. The low temperatures will cause everything that has melted to refreeze overnight tonight and cause another morning of headaches on the road ways. Cheyenne will bottom out at 12 and Casper will bottom out at 20 with mostly clear skies and areas of fog.

Tomorrow a few snow showers are possible mainly in the higher elevations in Fremont County, but the moisture will fizzle out by tomorrow night. The rest of the day will have a dry day with temperatures reaching in the upper 30s and 40s with mostly sunny skies. The winds in the northern part of the state will start increasing gusting in the 20s and 30s causing the feels like temperature to feel a bit colder. Temperatures will continue to trend warmer as the weekend approaches.

The next system that is being monitored is looking to make its appearance Sunday and into Monday this could cause another decent amount of snowfall, but nothing like this last system! However, this is still pretty far out, there are a lot of questions, and the models are not agreeing at this time. The GFS has the system moving out very quickly while the EURO has the system moving slower causing more moisture to drop in the southern part of Wyoming. We will continue to monitor this system as it gets closer!
