CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Pleasant weather will remain through Tuesday afternoon for much of Wyoming. Then, change is a coming. A Low pressure system from the south west is going to be bringing a system of wintry weather that looks to be widespread throughout Wyoming. A Winter Storm Watch has been issued through Wednesday at 5 p.m. for Fremont, Natrona and Sweetwater counties. With this next snow event, this is where we are looking to have the most accumulations around Casper and in the higher elevations (mountainous areas).

However, the snow will be once again widespread bringing measureable snow to practically every city in Wyoming, with some accumulating more than others. This is from Preliminary readings as of now. Casper could see 4-8 inches accumulate over Tuesday night through Wednesday morning as heavy bands are expected to linger over areas under the Winter Storm Watch.

This will be something we will closely monitor and the weather team will provide updates as we learn more.

For the rest of Monday, pleasant temperatures remain, clouds will slowly decrease as we continue through the afternoon. Winds will increase through the afternoon with gusty conditions in central and southern Wyoming. Breezes will persist through much of Tuesday as temperatures begin to cool down. Then, from the South West, the next system looks to move in.
