CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Saturday morning, a Larimer County Deputy attempted a routine traffic stop which quickly escalated into a police chase. The officer attempted a traffic stop on a known stolen pick-up truck in Johnstown, Colorado.

The suspect did not stop and instead fled northbound on Southeast Frontage Road at a high speed. During the pursuit, the suspect then slammed on his brakes, causing the deputy to crash into the rear of his pickup.

The vehicles were stuck and could not move. The suspect then took off running on foot. The suspect ran down Interstate 25 and tried to open an occupied vehicle. When he tried to open the door of a second occupied vehicle, a deputy tackled the suspect.

He resisted, but was arrested. The suspect is identified as Pino Eliseo and was found with a stolen firearm. The suspect is now facing more than fifteen charges.

No one was injured during this incident.
