Officer in Riverton slimed--for a good cause
Kids Heart Challenge was the purpose of the fundraiser
RIVERTON, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) -
Fremont County School District 25 participated in the National Heart Association fundraiser, the Kids Heart Challenge. It ended this week and the students who raised the most money got to pour slime over staff and a surprise guest.
At Aspen Elementary School the total raised was just over $2,300. The principal and a school resource officer were good sports, even if it was a little messy. Riverton School Resource Officer Scott Christoffersen was slimed twice today, March 5th, and stated the reason behind his involvement, “Just to get the reaction from the kids is always fun and to help them out. They each had two cups each, so it ended up being a lot and this one, I was not expecting that many kids to do that well, and again having two cups each made it quite a mess.”
The officer joked that he welcomes his fellow officers to stand in and join the fun next time.
