Three Kelly Walsh football players sign letters of intent
Kelly Walsh had a remarkable football season in the fall of 2020, and it was capped off by three of those players signing with Chadron State College in Nebraska to continue their football careers.
CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Surrounded by family, friends and coaches, linemen Reno Watson and Dominic Gray and two-way player Esaias Spillane all signed with Chadron State College in Nebraska to continue their football careers.
They will join the over 15 players from Wyoming on Chadron State’s roster.
Reno Watson believed that he hadn’t grown just in size during his time at Kelly Walsh. “I’ve grown communicating with the team and being a leader and just leading the o-line,” said Watson. “Just doing my best, and I think I’ve improved overall.”
Dominic Gray said “it means a lot” that all three of them were signing together and headed next to the same place. “It just shows that we play well together, and I’m just glad that I know people going into it and already have some teammates that I’ll have chemistry with,” said Gray.
Esaias Spillane left a message for the teammates he left behind at Kelly Walsh if they want to be in his position when they leave high school. “Just leave it all on the field and be coachable, and great things will come to you,” said Spillane.
Each of them said they couldn’t wait to get stronger at the next level and would always remember this past season and Kelly Walsh’s memorable upset over Cheyenne Central in the state playoffs.
