Low Pressure Moving South of Wyoming
Wednesday Evening Weather Update
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) -
Tonight the temperatures will be below freezing for the entire state with Cheyenne bottoming out at 24 degrees and Casper at 25 degrees. Make sure to grab the jacket it is going to be a chilly night with mostly clear skies.
A low pressure system will be moving onto California now, and will continue to move eastward before it moves south of Wyoming tomorrow. Cooler temperatures are in the forecast tomorrow even though there won’t be a significant drop, with highs in the 40s and low 50s. A chance for snow and rain showers is in the forecast mainly for the southern part of Wyoming from I-80 south. Expect travel hazards tomorrow from Evanston, I-80, to Cheyenne, I-80. Winds are going to be calm tomorrow, which will make for a great day to walk the pets. During the mornings hours temperatures will be in the 30s, increasing to 40s and 50s by noon through the afternoon, and by the sunsets the temperatures will drop to the 30s. If you do walk your pet they will be as happy as Bandit is below!
After tomorrow temperatures will start to warm back up! Saturday looks to be the warmest day this weekend with temperatures soaring into the 60s for most of the state! However, winds will start to pick up gusting at 50mph with sustain winds at 20mph. By Sunday mostly sunny skies with temperatures in the 50s! It will be a great weekend to walk the dog, take a hike, ride bikes, go for a run, or even take a picnic!
