RIVERTON, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) -

Curative in Riverton has changed their hours, but they are still offering free Covid tests five days a week.

Riverton Site Lead Testing Specialist Shawnda Case stated, “We feel that bringing the testing to the community in those later hours in the evening will help some of the people that have been in the workforce to come out and get tested. Maybe they’re required by their job to be tested, maybe they just feel like they want to come and just check for themselves which is a good thing.”

They are open Monday through Friday. Monday through Thursday they are testing from 9 to 6 in the evening. On Friday their testing hours are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. They are not open on Saturdays or Sundays and they are still at the Fremont County Fairgrounds. The test is an oral swab and does not test antibodies. Results are delivered electronically within 48 hours.

“We just want to make sure that people know that we are here. We’re here to help, and the ladies that work at this site are a really great team, and we try to make sure that this is as fast and easy and as friendly as possible,” added testing specialist, Tammy Quarles.

The site is not offering vaccines at this time but will continue doing PCR testing for the foreseeable future. Drive up and walk up appointments are welcome, but if you wish to pre-register for your slot, you can do so at
