CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) -

Today is March 1st also known as the first day of Meteorological Spring, and boy did it feel like it outside! Temperatures ranged from the 40s to a couple of places that hit 50 degrees! Warmer temperatures are expected throughout the week thanks to a ridge over the west. Today will be the coolest day of the week for most spots as temperatures warm up tomorrow to the upper 40s with more region hitting in the 50s tomorrow. With the warm temperatures comes the windy conditions which will pick up late tonight and early tomorrow morning. High Wind Warnings are in effect for Elk Mountain, west of Chugwater and west of Wheatland until tomorrow morning at 11am.

By the end of the week temperatures will soar in the 50s and 60s across the viewing area with a cold front coming through Thursday which will bring slightly cooler temperatures and a chance for some rain showers mainly in the southern part of the state.
