Four Cheyenne South seniors sign collegiate sports letters of intent

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Surrounded by loved ones, four Cheyenne South student athletes made their college sports commitments official on Wednesday afternoon.

Below is each student’s name, their future college, and a quote about what it meant to them to have their families and friends at hand for this special moment.

Kiley Still, LCCC Volleyball:

“[My family has] driven me to tournaments. They’ve driven me everywhere. They’ve helped push me along for volleyball. So their support is one of the ultimate ones.”

Calysta Martinez, Mesa Community College Basketball:

“I’ve been playing here for four years. “I’m doing it for them to show that they helped me through everything.”

Dillen Phillips, Saginaw Valley State University Swimming:

“People here, they love you and [are] here to support you. Especially being up there with Jared [Price]. Jared’s been my best friend since like seventh grade. To be able to come up here and do this with’s amazing.”

Jared Price (first South boys swimmer to go on to compete at a four-year college), Sterling College Swimming:

“It meant a lot. For them to be able to support me the way that they did, the way to they have over my countless years of swimming, it’s meant a lot.”
