CHEYENNE, Wyo. (RELEASE) - Rex Rammell is announcing his intent to run for Governor of Wyoming on a statewide tour February 17th, 2021.

The recent moratorium on new permits for oil and gas drilling on public lands by President Biden and Governor Gordon’s statement on January 28th at the Wyoming Press Conference that climate change is “the greatest crisis on earth” has given the Rock Springs veterinarian the motivation to enter the 2022 race for governor in order to save Wyoming’s legacy industry of mining for fossil fuels.

His main plank in his platform is the transfer of the federal public lands to Wyoming state lands.

Rammell says, “This is a fight that has been in the works shortly after Wyoming became a state. The 10th Amendment to the United States Constitution clearly states that all powers not specifically delegated to the federal government belong to the states.  Accordingly, no power can be found in the Constitution for the federal government to own 25% of America’s land mass.”

Approximately 48% of Wyoming is controlled by the federal government and Dr. Rammell says “it’s time we take it back!”

Rex Rammell did run for Governor of Wyoming in 2018 under as a constitution party candidate.
