Get Centered at the Center event grows
Get Centered at the Center was the first event the Ford Wyoming Center hosted in 2021, and it returned bigger this weekend.
CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - The Ford Wyoming Center hosted “Get Centered at the Center” as its first event in 2021, and it was the first event they held after the name change last month. It returned this weekend even bigger.
Another hour of yoga was added, and there were more health and wellness vendors for the trade show. The trade show was also extended for more hours for vendors and attendees to interact.
Alaina Binfet, owner of wyOMing Yoga and Massage and one of the people behind the event, said she was overjoyed with the great response this time. “We sold lots and lots of tickets. A lot more than last time and have just some amazing vendors here,” said Binfet. “It’s been really cool to be able to practice again with a large group of people. It’s been so long since we’ve been able to do that.”
Binfet said it looked like the number of vendors had doubled.
Dr. Erica Higgins, from Empowered Chiropractic, said she and her group had so much fun last time and enjoyed connecting with other vendors that she was happy to come back and be a part of the event a second time.
“It’s really a nice way for people just to get to know us and for us to get to know other people, along with other vendors and just make friendships,” said Higgins.
Binfet called the overall growth of the event “amazing.”
“I think the community is getting interested and really looking forward to events, feeling a little bit more comfortable, but also, yoga, wellness and mindfulness, in general, understanding that there is benefit from it,” said Binfet. “Everyone can participate and benefit.”
Binfet wouldn’t reveal whether another event like this would happen, but she said “the wheels are turning.”
