Snow Showers Possible Over Night

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) -

Snow showers will be isolated this evening; however, the best places to see snow fall with be the southeastern corner of Wyoming and the central parts of Wyoming. Winter Storm Warning is in effect for the far western part of Laramie County and far eastern part of Albany County until Thursday at 5AM. This region will experience snow fall for a long period of time as well as blowing snow. This will result in reduced visibility and slower speed on the roadways. Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for the western part of Laramie County just outside of Cheyenne is where it cuts off until Thursday at 5AM. In Cheyenne snow accumulations will stay around an inch or below tonight and into Thursday. Casper will only see a dusting if lucky. High Wind Watches are in effect for parts of Carbon, Albany, Laramie and Platte Counties until Friday at 5PM; however, these watches will likely be upgraded for a High Wind Warnings are winds will be picking up as the weekend approaches closer.

Thursday the weather across the state will be relatively calm. Don’t get use to it though as another disturbance will be coming through Friday morning with more snow showers to the region! These will be isolated so most areas will be staying cloudy and dry. Winds will be picking up as well as the disturbance rolls through with gusts in the 40s and 50s and sustain winds in the 30s. The weekend will be cooler in the 30s for most of the region before a warmer on Washington’s Birthday, Monday, with some areas hitting the upper 40s and by Tuesday temperatures might even hit the 50s!
