RIVERTON, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) -

The Riverton branch library is hosting a ‘Chill Read Winter Reading Spree,’ and all readers from pre-k to 12th grade can pick up their reading log sheet at the Riverton library. They’re also welcome to come to the library to pick out a beanie buddy to read with or read to. The challenge is not just for Riverton students, however, any child, young adult, or teenager in Fremont county is welcome to participate.

Sandi Hussa, Riverton Branch Library Youth Service Lead stated, “I enjoy it, I think it’s great when they come in and pick up a book, something you suggest. They’ll say ‘ok,’ then they’ll come back and say ‘I really like this book, do you have another suggestion?’ It just makes you feel good that you’re helping these kids to read and experience what’s in those books and get that chance to use their imagination. It’s a lot of fun.”

The challenge is through the end of February. For more information, call the Riverton Branch Library at (307) 856-3556.
