Isolated Snow Showers Possible Tonight and Tomorrow

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) -

Isolated snow showers are possible this evening, tonight and tomorrow. Snow squalls are possible west of the Laramie Range. Winter Storm Warnings are in effect for Sierra Madre and the Snowy Mountains until Wednesday at 5am. This region will receive an additional 4-8 inches through Wednesday. The snow showers will be moving southeast. Casper can expect less than an inch, and Cheyenne could see up to an inch of accumulations.

Wind chill value will be bitterly cold again Wednesday morning at 5 below in Cheyenne. Cold temperatures will be sticking around for most of the week before warming up on Friday to the mid to upper 30s. Another chance of snow will be in the forecast for Saturday as another upper shortwave passes through bringing in moisture to the state. the big question is who will see it and who will remain dry as the models are not agreeing.

Windy conditions comes back into the forecast over the weekend causing blow snow which will result in reduced visibility on the roadways. Make sure to check the roadways before traveling because they could be shut down.

By Monday, Washington’s Birthday, temperatures will be even warmer in the 40s for most of the state and those warmer temperatures look to be hanging around for a few days!
