Wyoming Influenza cases decreasing
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - The Wyoming Department of Health says it is monitoring influenza in the Equality State. The Wyoming Public Health Laboratory says it is seeing far less influenza cases this season.
Researchers found those who had gotten the flu shot this season, were less likely to experience symptoms... Respiratory problems... Or severe disease.
Kim Deti, of the Wyoming department of heath gave the following statement.
“The volume of influenza in Wyoming is extremely low at this point compared to previous seasons, perhaps as low as 10 percent of what might be typical. We are receiving sporadic reports of both influenza a and influenza b strains from across the state. The precautions intended to help prevent the spread of covid-19 as well as the changes in people s activities such as travel and socializing are likely a factor behind lower flu activity.”
