Small Casper restaurant faces pandemic challenges;navigates Valentine’s Day crowds
CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - The dining area at Bosco’s Italian restaurant is filled with customers enjoying a meal. The owner says they can only use seven out of their sixteen tables.
“We have to be six feet apart and don’t want to get in trouble,” said Susan Bosco, the owner. They have been serving couples all weekend for Valentine’s Day and have couples coming back year after year.
“They’ll say this is my table that we’ve had for the past 25 years. We make sure to give them that table,” Bosco said.
They are taking reservations and walk-ins on this busy day, but the walk-ins aren’t guaranteed a table. They are usually closed Sundays too, but a day for celebrating love was an exception.
“We are early booked until 7,” Bosco said. All of the challenges during the pandemic, Bosco said it’s been rewarding to be able to serve everyone.
“They come here and might be unhappy when they get here but they are happy when they leave,” Bosco said. “That’s my goal.”
She added they are also doing pickup and have started their own delivery service so they can serve the community.
