CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Flowers are a popular Valentine’s Day gift for your loved ones. In 2019, 28% of American adults purchased flowers or plants as a gift on Valentine’s Day, according to the Society of American Florists.

Scientific studies have also proven flowers make people happier.

Summer Anderson, owner of Consider the Lillies, a flower shop in Casper, said it is important to order Valentine’s Day flowers because they run out. “It’s really hard here in Wyoming we don’t have a wholesaler that’s closer than Denver, so we can’t really replenish at the last minute if we run out of stock, so the sooner you order, the sooner we can make sure we have what you want.”

Anderson also recommends ordering “designer’s choice” in order to get some of the freshest flowers.

Valentine’s Day is on Sunday.
