CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) -

Brutally cold temperatures are setting into the region maxing out on Wednesday by just barely reaching above freezing. Winter Weather Advisories are in effect for the Sierra Madre Mountains and the Snowy Mountains until Wednesday at 5AM. This area will be receiving a good amount of snowfall as a band of moisture will be hovering over it tonight and tomorrow. A Wind Chill Advisory is in effect for Sheridan, Weston, Campbell, Crook, Converse, and Niobrara Counties until Tuesday at 1AM. These counties could see wind chills exceed 30 degrees below 0. Make sure to make preparations as the coldest air will set in later this week. Bring in your pets, prepare your livestock, and check on the elderly. If you are leaving the house make sure to have enough layers on, enough food, and water in your vehicle incase of an emergency.

A very active weather pattern is starting today with the cold temperature, and isolated snow showers are expected almost every day of the week for parts of the state. Winds won’t be too bad for the next several days but even the slightest winds will cause it to feel very frigid outside. Tomorrow temperatures will barely make it over the freezing mark.
