CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) -

Bundle up Wyoming! Tonight is the start of a very cold week for the state as an Arctic low pressure will be lowering into the United States bringing in single digit temperatures and wind chills as low as -25F. Make sure to check on the elderly, bring in pets, and prepare your livestock as frostbite can happen in the matter of minutes this week.

High Wind Warnings are in effect for parts of Carbon, Albany, and Laramie Counties until Monday at 5pm. Winter Weather Advisories are in effect for Sheridan, Platte, Goshen, Scotts Bluff, and Sioux Counties until Monday at 5am.

Winds will continue for the southern part of the state for most of the week which results in blowing snow and reduced visibility. Check the roadways before traveling as roads may be closed for light and high profile vehicles. Isolated snow showers are possible throughout the state for most of the week. The accumulations will not result in much.
