CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Girl Scouts in Montana and Wyoming are getting ready for a busy few months--cookie season. Community members can pre-order cookies starting Feb. 5 to Feb.21.

People can order online at girlscoutcookies.org. After Feb. 21, they will be selling them at different booths around the community.

Briana Black, a recruitment manager for the southeast Wyoming recruitment manager, said girls got creative last year and plan to do the same this year. “They have done virtual sales on social media and they did so drive through booths,” Black said.

Black suggests ordering online if people don’t know anyone personally and still want to support. Girls selling cookies learn sales, goal setting, money management, business ethics and people skills. “It’s a really cool opportunity for them to get engaged in entrepreneurship,” Black said.

Sales will look different than they have in the past, but Black said this is an exciting time for the girls and community.

“People are definitely excited. I’ve had people stop into the office wondering when we are going to start,” Black said.

Cookies cost $4 a box except for s’mores and gluten-free toffee-tastics which are $5 a box.
