CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Tuesday afternoon, the group Cheyenne Little Theatre Players had finally made their long advertised announcement on their Facebook Live. The group in cohorts with ‘The Friends of the Atlas’ have purchased the adjacent property on 215 West Lincolnway, known now as the Decóroom.

The plan has been in talks for a few years now according to Managing Director (Cheyenne Little Theatre Players) Todd Martin and Co-founder/chair (’The Friends of the Atlas) Alane West. Now, thanks to the efforts and support from the Cheyenne community in raising the funds to being able to purchase the neighboring building. Allowing for some much need expansion in foot space.

“It’s a wonderful opportunity” Todd says, “It will give us a chance to expand our lobby area expand our bathrooms, prop and costume storage which is all sorely need.”

However, even though they have the building. There is still testing that needs to be done in just how compatible the two buildings will be in making them coexist. Moreover, no matter the plan, the integrity and foundation of the Atlas Theatre will have to remain intact. Currently, they are in the process of planning. With the second issue then being funding.

“It’s going to take a lot of money, we are starting to explore our options as far as fundraising, grant opportunities all those things.” Todd explains.

Furthermore, Cheyenne Little Theatre Players will be running fundraisers in the foreseeable future in efforts to raising the money necessary for the expansion needed.
