CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) -

Today was a gorgeous day across the state with abnormally warm temperatures and the sun shined bright in some spots of the Wyoming. Tonight temperatures will cool down but won’t be as cold as it has been during the first part of the week. Tonight into tomorrow a trough will be coming into the region bringing in cooler temperatures and windy conditions to the southeastern part of Wyoming. Isolated snow showers are expected tonight mainly in the higher elevation including Sierra Madre and and the Snowy with 2-4 inches of accumulations. Very little impact will come from these snow showers.

By Sunday a ridge will be building into the region bringing another round of warm temperatures to the state first warming up the southern part of Wyoming and reaching the northern part of the state by Monday. By Tuesday some areas will soar into the 60s with some places breaking record high temperatures.

The next big system that is being watched as we move forward will be a low pressure system coming from the Pacific Ocean bringing a decent amount of moisture and very cold temperatures so prepare your livestock and plans accordingly! The most important thing to watch will be where the low tracks will be the deciding factor of seeing snow or getting missed again. With this system will bring in very cold temperatures to the region Wednesday into the end of next week!
