Snow Saturday for Wyoming

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) -

Snow is on the way tonight into Saturday! Winter Weather Advisories are in effect for areas in the purple color until Saturday at 11pm. Places in this advisories include Casper, Lusk, Douglas, and Rock Springs. This region will see 4-6 inches of snow with localized areas that could exceed this such as the Casper Mountains. Casper Mountains are expected to see 6-10 inches. Northern Carbon and Albany Counties will see 6-8 inches. Winter Storm Warnings in the pink color are in effect until Sunday at 5AM. These areas including Sierra Madre and Snowy Ranges will see 12-22 inches which is great for the skiing ranges. Laramie, Platte, and Goshen Counties can see 1-2 inches with localize higher amounts. I-80 will have significant travel impacts tomorrow with places west of Laramie to Rawlins will see 4-6 inches. Make sure to look at roads before traveling this weekend!

By Sunday the sun will be back out and shining down with slightly warmer temperatures. Monday another front rolls in cooler temperatures off with another round of snow possible for Cheyenne Tuesday.
