CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Tuesday morning’s Wyoming News Now sports block featured local-only content. Below are the different stories covered in the attached video.

East vs Laramie Basketball:

Both January 20 East versus Laramie basketball games were postponed due to positive COVID-19 cases in both the LHS boys and girls programs.

The Lady Plainsmen are expected to quarantine until February 3.

It is unknown how long the boy’s pause will be.

The news to postpone the girl’s game came Tuesday, but the boy’s postponement decision had to be made Wednesday night.

During the LHS-East JV Boys Basketball game, a new positive test emerged, which halted the game in the 3rd quarter and forced the varsity game to be moved.

The positive player was not in Cheyenne on Wednesday night.

Central vs South Basketball:

Since the Plainsmen-Thunderbirds game was scheduled to be played at Storey Gym in Cheyenne, the South and Central games were held at CHS.

The above video contains highlights from both the boys and girls varsity contests.

Girls Final Score: Central 54 South 45
