Prep Athlete of the Week: Boden Liljedahl
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Boden Liljedahl is the point guard on the East Girls Basketball team.
The sophomore went off last week and has earned Prep Athlete of the Week honors.
In blowout wins on Friday and Saturday over Green River and Evanston, Bo averaged 15.5 points per game and shot 53% from the three-point line.
The guard also averaged three steals and four assists per game.
“Bo’s a great kid for our school,” East Head Coach Eric Westling said. “She’s a great kid on the court. [She] puts a lot of time in, is a great teammate, and so [I’m] really proud of her.”
With stats and praise like that, it is clear that Liljedahl is a great player who slices and dices through defenses.
However, she wants to slice in a different way when she gets older.
The Lady T-Bird wants to be a surgeon.
“It all started watching Grey’s Anatomy and I really like to help people. So, that’s mostly where [the drive to be a surgeon is] coming from,” Liljedahl said.
Bo said her dream is to play basketball at the University of Minnesota and she wants to go to medical school in the Upper Midwest when her playing days are over.
Congratulations to Boden Liljedahl, Wyoming News Nows’ Prep Athlete of the Week.
