Sports set to begin at Casper College
CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) -
Men and women’s basketball and volleyball will begin their seasons this month. The men’s basketball team will play their first game on Jan. 15 at home against Salt Lake Community College. The women’s basketball team will play their first game on Jan. 22 in the Southern Idaho Classic. The women’s volleyball team will open their season up at home on Jan. 22nd against Salt Lake Community College at 7 p.m. Men and women’s soccer will kick of their seasons later on in the year in April.
“Health of the student athlete is priority number one, absolutely. After that we are so excited to play, because, we finally get a chance for these kids to do what they were recruited to come to college to do,” said Casper College Athletic Director Paul Marble. “In Wyoming we have a fantastic health department, and governor and administration, that want to see us play so they are doing everything they can to create an environment where we can play.”
Right now Marble says they are currently not letting spectators into the games to watch but they will be streamed virtually.
