Sports Year in Review: Cheyenne South
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Our Year in Review series moves to the South Side of Cheyenne.
The Bison have a difficult road every year, with two of the best programs in Wyoming sharing the Capital City.
But this year the pandemic made things even more challenging.
The Bison community stepped up and mitigated the spread of the virus very well.
South Athletic Director Mark Puev said his department treated the uncertain fall season like you would treat playing sports.
“Whether it’s a tournament early in the year or state, you’re goal is to survive and advance,” Puev said. “You don’t know how, you don’t really care how, you just want to survive that game and get to the next one. And that’s kind of what we were doing week by week for all through the fall.”
