Winter Weather is on the way!

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Starting things off, We have a Winter Storm Advisory in place for Sierra Madre and the Snowy Ranges until 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

For tonight, the cold front has made its way to the state dropping temperatures into single digits and negatives in the far west of Wyoming. Moisture will enter the state from the low-pressure system set up in California moving large amounts of moisture through, Nevada, Utah, and Colorado making its way into Wyoming.

Tonight will be a cold one with clouds developing in the night going into early Monday morning. Monday morning: temperatures look to reach a high of mid to low 20s throughout the state with some areas in the lower 30s. Cold air will dominate Wyoming as moisture moves into southern Wyoming according to the Euro model of snow rolling in around 11 a.m. into 12 p.m. Monday: as temperatures remain below freezing, snow is expected to hit Southern into Central/ parts of North Eastern Wyoming by Monday afternoon close to dinner time going into Monday Night.

Expect travel to be treacherous Monday night with snow-packed roads and icy conditions.
