CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) -

Merry Christmas Eve! High Wind Warnings are in effect for parts of Carbon, Albany, Platte, and Laramie Counties until Friday at 11am. This is due to winds being sustained at 35mph+ with gusts as high as 70mph. Make sure to check the roads for any closures before traveling!

Santa will bring warm weather and howling winds to the state Christmas Day; however, the winds will make it feel a bit chiller than what the actual temperature is.

Sunny skies will be in full swing through the next several days, perfect weather for outdoor activities. Make sure to enjoy the warmth because it will not last long! Christmas Day is looking to be gorgeous for the entire state with sunny skies and temperatures ranging from the 40s to the 50s.

The next weather maker that could bring some snow with it to the state will sweep through this weekend bringing temperatures back to the 20s and 30s. This system will keep the temperatures steady for several days back to average for this time of year.
