CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - How about those winds though! Plenty of advisories and warning’s have cleared off this afternoon. However, Southern and South Eastern Wyoming continue to be under a High Wind Warning until Friday at 11 a.m. In addition to the madness, temperatures look to be well below freezing today bringing wind chill values to below 0 degree throughout the afternoon and even worse, tonight.

Travel has been impacted for North/Southbound I-25 Extreme blow over risk has been issued by WYDOT closing travel for light and high profile vehicles today. Along with West/Eastbound I-80 is under the same order today.

Today looks to be the last day of temperatures being so extremely brutal for Wyoming as warmer air looks to gradually move in on Christmas Eve. Christmas day looks even better! However, the aforementioned winds will continue to wreak havoc in the state making things much chilly than they would appear.

So bundle up, layer up, crank the heat and if you can stay inside. If you must travel proceed with caution on the highways those winds are playing no games!
