In Cheyenne, Central’s Andrew Johnson was among those who put pen to paper.
The two-time All-State first-teamer signed his letter of intent at the Wyoming State Capitol.
Governor Mark Gordon was in attendance and told Andrew that he was excited to watch him in the future.
Today the Central star’s dream became a reality.
Below are some of the senior’s quotes:
“It was after my sophomore season, my first year I really played varsity an entire year that I realized that football is what I loved and it was my passion. "
“I grew up a Pokes fan. My parents went there and being able to go there and watch games, I’ve always been a Pokes fan. So, having the opportunity to play in state and playing [with] that team that I grew up watching is really preferred.”
“I do know the expectations are going to be really high and I’m going to have to come in ready to work. But the coaches have been great, I’ve talked to some of the other recruitees and it’s just really an exciting opportunity. So I’m ready to go in there and be a Cowboy.”
“There’s an endless list of people I could thank, but obviously the ones who come to my head right away is my family and the people that have raised me and allowed me to have this opportunity.”
