Another Snow Event Eyeing Western Wyoming

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - I-80 Eastbound and Westbound are closed tonight for low & high profile vehicles due to extreme blow over risk!

Tonight looks to be another chilly one in the Cowboy State. Winds have tapered down tonight however, a High Wind Warning is in place for Elk Mountain until Thursday at 11 a.m. In addition, lets talk some SNOW! A Winter Weather Advisory is in place for: Fremont, Teton, Lincoln & Sublette counties, through Thursday night.

Now speaking of Thursday, snow looks to move in as a low pressure from the north sweeps into Wyoming early Thursday morning. Snow will start early morning and continue throughout Thursday which is great for those who wish to ski or snowboard; because the slopes this weekend look ready for the season. Thursday temperatures across the state are more favorable than Wednesday as a few more 40s are in the forecast and winds will not be as breezy throughout the day. Those highs will come in early as the cold air looks to move in come the afternoon cooling things off and shifting winds from the north. Clouds look to take away the sun throughout the afternoon. Setting the stage for snow to come in for the Northern, Central and SE regions of the state LATE Thursday night early Friday morning.
