CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - All three Cheyenne high school wrestling programs hosted day two of the Charlie Lake Invite on Saturday, Dec. 12. Cheyenne East headed into day two with momentum on their side, defeating Sidney, Torrington, and Burns/Pine Bluffs in the first day of the invite. The T-birds won two duals in their second day, finishing in second place of the East region, behind Douglas. Douglas beat East 34-33, East won the next two duals against Kelly Walsh, and Ogallala. T-birds wrestlers Jackson Hesford, Blaise Ronnau, Isaiah Lawrence, Keegan Barlet, all went undefeated at the meet.

At Cheyenne South, the Bison finished in fourth place, losing to Sidney, Rawlins, and Wheatland. Bison wrestler, Layne Warburton went 4-2 at 145lbs. In the Central region, the Indians went 2-0 on Saturday, defeating Burns/Pine Bluffs 44-30, and Torrington 51-30. Nathan Lundberg, Charlie Nichols, and Davin Mattimoe all went undefeated. James Koenig went 4-1. Slater Bates and River Mossberg went 4-2 during the invite.
