CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Support Our Students is hosting Adopt a Child/Senior for Christmas. The event is aimed to look to provide gifts for 1,100 Laramie County Students, and 300 seniors.

“We know it’s a challenge, we know it’s a big ask of people because everybody is struggling,” Co-owner of Lynn Buys Houses, Corey Loghry said. “I still am hopeful that everybody is going to come together, and serve all these fourteen hundred people.”

This is the seventh annual Adopt a Child/Senior for Christmas event. The kids are identified by Laramie County School teachers and social worker, as the kids that are most in need. The seniors are a part of the Senior Companions program, whom look to stay in their house. They have primarily been house bound, since March 2020. Here is the google drive link where buyers can look up the gift list:

“People have such a great heart for giving, and they’re so happy to give,” Loghry said. “It’s just really a fantastic day of people coming together for the good of eleven hundred kids, and three hundred seniors.”

The event will happen on Saturday, December 12 at the Storey Gym parking lot, from 8:00am-5:00pm.
